Mr. Scott is a registered patent attorney with over ten years of experience litigating patent-infringement claims. Having a background in computer science, the majority of his patent-infringement cases have involved software patents, including those related to data synchronization and device management systems, secure financial data transfer systems, loan origination systems, and trading software platforms. He is regularly responsible for the technical aspects of patent-infringement disputes, including source code-based patent rule disclosures, managing source code reviews, taking and defending technical depositions, working with technical experts, and serving as the point of contact for the client’s technical team. Mr. Scott has overseen and assisted in the development of software patent portfolios relating to streaming media rating and playback systems, and data synchronization and device management systems.
